Details Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival to Arusha
You will meet and greet with Lights on Africa representative at Kilimanjaro Airport. You’ll then be transferred to Arusha by private car for your overnight at the hotel.
Accommodation: Kibo Palace Hotel or Similar.
Meals: Bed & Breakfast.
Day 2: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park (120km, 2.5hrs drive)
After breakfast, we will proceed to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive with a picnic lunch. Lake Manyara National Park is famous for its biodiversity. The park includes different environments: the lake, the forest and the plains. The lions climb the trees because they don’t like wet soil due to the underground springs. The park is rich in primates, birds and big mammals. This captivating park promises a diverse and awe-inspiring experience. Marvel at the shimmering salt lake, home to thousands of flamingos and a multitude of bird species. Explore the park’s varied landscapes, from open grassy plains to woodlands teeming with playful monkeys, and witness the graceful presence of giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, and majestic elephants. Later, we will drive to our accommodation for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast drive to Serengeti National park. Serengeti National Park is among of the best-known wildlife destinations in the world, unequaled for its natural beauty and scientific value, it has the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa. The Park is home to a rich diversity of life, and the resident predators are the true lords of this untamed realm. With bated breath, you might catch a glimpse of the elusive leopard, stealthily navigating the treetops, or the swift cheetah, showcasing its remarkable agility during a hunt. And then there are the iconic lions, majestic and powerful, embodying the circle of life as they play their vital role as top predators. You will have a picnic lunch at a picnic site. In late afternoon drive to your camp for dinner and overnight.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 4: Game Drive in Serengeti National Park and transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Enjoy game drives in the beautiful Serengeti, with a chance to spot the Big Five. Experience the park’s vast savannas and prolific wildlife. The Serengeti’s endless plains are home to millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, followed closely by predators. The park offers some of the best game viewing in Africa, ensuring an exhilarating safari experience. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park. In evening you will transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will spend an overnight.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, we’ll drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Today we’ll descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive with a picnic lunch. The famous Ngorongoro Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s seven natural wonders. The crater was formed two million years ago when a vast volcano erupted. The fertile lava has created a unique ecosystem, now home to the highest concentration of animals found anywhere in Africa! Once in the crater, thousands of animals such as lions, zebras, buffalos and black rhinos surround you, and the views are astounding. Stop for picnic lunch near hippo pool, then continue for afternoon game drive. In evening ascend the crater and drive to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Karatu to Arusha
After breakfast, we will visit the local village not far from the lodge. We can also relax a bit at the lodge or do some shopping if you have time. From there, you can continue your journey to your next destination or return home. Our team will ensure a seamless transfer according to your updated plans. Take this opportunity to enjoy some leisurely moments, perhaps exploring local markets for unique souvenirs or taking a stroll through the charming streets of Arusha. As we bid farewell, reflect upon the remarkable experiences and cherished memories created during your safari, and know that the spirit of Tanzania’s natural wonders will stay with you forever. We will then transfer to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport.
