You will experience breathtaking wildlife in the midst of diverse landscapes; monkeys in the forest, lions in trees, elephants amongst acacias, and a huge variety of animals inside a collapsed volcano. You will visit Serengeti National Park, home to over 3 million animals. These spectacular grass plains offer the best opportunity of viewing cheetah, leopard, lion, and much more.

Details Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha To Tarangire National Park (120km)

Around 7:00 AM after breakfast, you will be picked up from any hotel in Arusha and your safari guide will drive you for 2 hours to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is best known for its elephant families, savannah, iconic baobab trees, seasonal swamps, and the life-giving Tarangire River. Animals gather at the river to drink and cool off from the hot African sun. You will see giraffes, bushbuck, and hartebeest. The Park is also home to buffalo, zebra, and wildebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators such as lions and leopards. From the open roof of the vehicle, you will be able to take in the landscape and watch the variety of wildlife. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, which includes coffee and soft drinks. After a full day in the park, you will be driven to your accommodation to enjoy dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2: Karatu To Serengeti National Park

After breakfast you will drive up the crater highlands, stopping at the rim for a spectacular view of the Ngorongoro Crater and continuing as far as the eye can see, the vast view of the Serengeti. Serengeti means “endless plain” and is inhabited by more than 2 million wildebeest and other wildlife. From January to April the wildebeest, plains zebra, and Thomson’s gazelle give birth to their calves. Large predators including lions, cheetah, and hyenas are drawn to the area by this abundance of prey which migrates throughout the park. Many smaller animals like rock hyrax, bat-eared fox, mongoose, honey badger, jackal, monkey, baboon, and African hare also inhabit the area. There are also over 500 species of birds. After this exciting game drive, you will return to camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3: Game Drive In Serengeti National Park And Transfer Tongorongoro Crater

You will rise very early and enjoy a sunrise game drive to spot animals when they are more active and also to witness a fantastic African sunrise; one of the most spectacular sites one can experience. You will then return to camp for breakfast, then continue with game drive in Serengeti. This enormous park supports every variety of animal imaginable – from large predators such as lion, leopard and cheetah to the smaller herbivores they prey on. With bated breath, you might catch a glimpse of the elusive leopard, stealthily navigating the treetops, or the swift cheetah, showcasing its remarkable agility during a hunt. And then there are the iconic lions, majestic and powerful, embodying the circle of life as they play their vital role as top predators. Late afternoon you will transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will spend your overnight at the lodge located in the crater rim.

Day 4: Game Drive In Ngorongoro Crater And Transfer Toarusha

Game drive in the crater from 7:30AM to 14:00PM

Drive to Arusha(160km) from 14:00PM to 17:00PM

After an early breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and drive to the Ngorongoro Crater. You will descend down a steep track into the caldera to enjoy your last game drive. You will experience a breathtaking range of animals and birds. The caldera (a collapsed volcano) is home to over 25,000 mammals ranging from the “Big Five” (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, leopard) to over 500 species of birds. You may catch a glimpse of the endangered Black Rhino in the crater. You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater and then continue with game viewing to the late afternoon then make your way back up the crater rim. You will then drive back to Arusha. This is where your safari will end. You will be dropped off the Kilimanjaro International Airport to fly back home or at any hotel in Arusha in case you extend your stay.
