Usambara Mountains: Trails, Waterfalls, and Forests

The Usambara Mountains, often called the “Galapagos of Africa,” are located in northeastern Tanzania, in the Lushoto District of the Tanga Region. They are part of the Eastern Arc Mountains, renowned for their rich biodiversity, lush forests, and scenic landscapes. These mountains are split into West Usambara and East Usambara, each offering unique experiences, from dense montane forests and waterfalls to traditional villages and terraced farmlands.
